WAS. x Centraal Laat

Come and join us when we’re teaming up with Centraal Museum for our own Centraal Laat edition. This evening brings together the Museum’s Shit Moms exhibition, which challenges taboos surrounding motherhood. Building on that, we offer a perspective from club culture that focuses on the unspoken rules around femininity and gender on the dance floor.

We’ll reflect on how myths and expectations continue to shape the experiences of FLINTA people in nightlife. Even in spaces that promote freedom and self-expression, these unspoken norms can limit how people feel allowed to move, dress, or express themselves. How can we continue to create spaces that not only allow but actively support more fluid, inclusive expressions of identity?

We’ll dive deeper into these questions through panels, music and art as we examine how these invisible boundaries affect the ways FLINTA people move through nightlife spaces.
